The budget captures the intended expenditure and the income for a specific period of time. The main source of revenue for the Government of Kenya is taxes. These taxes are collected based on tax acts as passed by the National Assembly. The Kenyan tax laws are usually enacted through a Finance Act.
Based on the proposals made in the Budget Policy Statement tabled in Parliament, we herein delve into possible amendments that may be introduced in future Finance Acts for the Government to attain its intended tax revenue targets.
